What is a dynamic QR code?

A dynamic QR code points to a short link that you control. When someone scans it, they're redirected to whatever URL you set—and you can change that URL anytime without reprinting the code. Static QR codes encode the final URL directly, so changing the destination means making a new code.

Can I change where my QR code points without reprinting?

Yes. With qrup, you create a code once (e.g. qrup.app/r/menu). You can update the destination URL at any time in your dashboard. The same printed QR code keeps working; only the target page changes.

What analytics do you provide?

We show total scans, unique visitors (estimated from hashed IPs), scans in the last 7 days vs the previous 7, scans per day over time, device types (mobile, desktop, tablet), referrers, and a list of recent scans. All in a simple dashboard per QR code.

Can I add UTM or marketing parameters to my links?

Yes. For link-type codes you can add UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content) in the Marketing / UTM section. They're appended to the destination URL so you can track campaigns in Google Analytics or other tools.

What types of QR codes can I create?

Besides links (with optional UTM), you can create QR codes for: plain text, email (with subject/body), phone (call), SMS (with pre-filled message), Wi‑Fi (network name and password), and vCard (contact). Link-type codes use our short URL and redirect; the others encode the content directly.

Is qrup free?

Yes. You can create dynamic QR codes, update them anytime, and view scan analytics for free. No credit card required.

Do I need an account to scan a QR code?

No. Anyone can scan your QR code with their phone camera or a QR app. They're taken straight to the destination—no signup or login required to scan.

Can I download my QR code as PNG or SVG?

Yes. You can download PNG (for print and web) and SVG (for scalable print). You can also customize colors, dot style, and add a logo or label before saving.
